Day: 1 Arrival Havana
Arrival at
Havana's José Martí International Airport. Meet and greet by a local
representative. Transfer to your hotel. Check-in. Dinner. Evening
free.
Day: 2 Havana
Breakfast. The tour
begins with a visit to the Morro-Cabana fortress. Sightseeing around
the historical center in Old Havana, a World Heritage site since
1982; Plaza de Armas, El Templete, Mercaderes Street, The Palace of
the Captain Generals, Cathedral Square, the world famous Bodeguita
del Medio. Transfer by bus to Central Park. Opportunity to see the
square, Gran Teatro de la Habana and the National Capitolio
Building. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, tour modern
Havana, visiting the Revolution Square, Jose Marti's Memorial and a
panoramic sightseeing tour around the Havana University. Return to
the hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day: 3 Havana
The day is at leisure
to enjoy shopping or other optional tours.
Day: 4 Havana - Soroa
Breakfast. In
the morning depart for Las Terrazas Complex declared a Biosphere
Reserve due to its natural wealth. Visit the community's artisans
and workshops. Drive on to La Cañada del Infierno to visit the ruins
of the French coffee plantations of San Pedro and Santa Catalina,
the sulfurous waters of the Bayate River, Buena Vista coffee
plantation and the opportunity to learn how coffee was processed for
production. Lunch at Las Ruinas Restaurant. In the afternoon visit
the Springs of San Juan River either enjoy a walk of the site or
take a swim in the calm pool waters. Accommodation and dinner at
selected hotel in Soroa.
Day: 5 Soroa - Vinales -
Soroa
Breakfast. Tour of Vinales and its surroundings an
impressive valley surrounded by round-top mountains, strange rocky
formation from the Jurassic period. These ridges called mogotes are
covered with the most varied vegetations ever known. Visit the Mural
de la Prihistoria and La Cueva del Indio (optional- take a boat ride
along the underground river to see the inside of the cave). Lunch at
Palenque de los Cimarrones restaurant. After lunch drive back to
Soroa to visit the country's largest orchid Garden and the Natural
Waterfall. Accommodation and dinner at selected hotel in Soroa.
Day: 6 Soroa - Cayo Lavisa -
Havana
Breakfast. Morning departure for Palma Rubia to catch a
boat ride to Cayo Lavisa to enjoy an unforgettable beach day and a
seafood lunch on an island made up of white sandy beach and
spectacular coral reefs. In the evening return to Havana for your
overnight stay.
Day: 7 Havana - Guama - Trinidad
Breakfast. Depart for Trinidad, en-route stop at Guama, visit
the crocodile-breeding farm. Lunch at La Boca. Afterwards continue
the drive to Trinidad. Accommodation and dinner at a local hotel.
Day: 8 Trinidad
Breakfast. City tour
of colonial Trinidad, one of the first villages founded at the
beginning of the 16th century by the Spaniards, declared World
Heritage Site in 1988. Visit the Santisima Trinidad Main Parish
Church and its sumptuous altar ornamented in precious stones and
images of 300 years ago; the Romantic Museum, former palace of the
Count of Brunet; Plaza Mayor and stop for a cocktail made of rum and
honey at La Canchanchara a typical bar of the city. Lunch at Plaza
de Santa Ana. Return to the hotel and dinner.
Day: 9 Trinidad - Cienfuegos -
Varadero
Breakfast. Departure for Varadero on the way visit the
city of Cienfuegos, founded by the French, known as the Pearl of The
South. Visit its streets and avenues and places like Tomas Terry
Theater, House of Cultural Wealth, the Cathedral of la Purisima
Conception and Marti Park. Lunch at the Palacio de Valle Restaurant.
Afterwards drive to Varadero. Check-in at a selected hotel. Dinner.
Evening at leisure.
Day: 10 Departure Varadero
Breakfast.
The day is at leisure depending on the departure flight schedule.
Transfer to airport and farewell. |
