  
ITINERARY
Day 1: Havana - Santa Clara
Departure
for Santa Clara the capital of Villa Clara Province. The city is
best known for "Che Guevara" the mythical guerrilla fighter of the
Cuban Revolution. The local people have built a monument and a
mausoleum where his remains are kept since 1997. Sightseeing tour of
the city with visits to Che Guevara's Square and the Armoured Train.
Lunch at La Concha Restaurant. Accommodation and dinner at the
selected hotel. Evening free.
Day 2: Santa Clara - Cayo Las Bruyas -
Santa Clara
Breakfast. Depart for an excursion to Cayo las
Bruyas. Cayo Santa Maria is linked to the mainland by a 48km land
extension over the inner gulf. The island has beautiful unspoiled
sandy beaches. The day is spent visiting the Key with free time to
enjoy the beach and a seafood lunch. Return to Santa Clara for
dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Santa Clara -
Trinidad
Breakfast. Depart for the colonial city of Trinidad
founded by the Spaniards at the beginning of the 16th century. Upon
arrival tour the historical area of this World Heritage Site,
visiting the Santisima Trinidad Main Parish Church with its
sumptuous altar ornamented with precious stones and images of 300
years ago, the Romantic Museum the former house of Count Brunet and
Plaza Mayor. Stop for a cocktail made of rum and honey at La
Canchanchara a typical bar of the city. Lunch at Plaza de Santa Ana.
Return to hotel and dinner.
Day 4: Cienfuegos -
Varadero
Breakfast. Depart for the city of Cienfuegos, founded by
the French, known as the Pearl of The South. Visit its streets and
avenues and places like Tomas Terry Theater, House of Cultural
Wealth, the Cathedral of la Purisima Conception and Marti Park.
Lunch at the Palacio de Valle Restaurant. Afterwards drive to
Varadero. Check-in at selected hotel. Dinner. Evening at
leisure.
Day 5: Varadero
Breakfast. The day is
at leisure depending on the departure flight schedule. Transfer to
airport. |
