  
ITINERARY
Day 01: Havana
The tour begins with a
visit to the Morro-Cabana fortress. Sightseeing around the
historical center in Old Havana, a World Heritage site since 1982;
Plaza de Armas, El Templete, Mercaderes Street, The Palace of the
Captain Generals, Cathedral Square, the world famous Bodeguita del
Medio. Transfer by bus to Central Park. Opportunity to see the
square, Gran Teatro de la Habana and the National Capitolio
Building. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, tour modern
Havana, visiting the Revolution Square, Jose Marti's Memorial and a
panoramic sightseeing tour around the Havana University. Return to
the hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 2: Havana - Vinales -
Havana
Breakfast. Day excursion to Vinales Valley in the Province
of Pinar del Rio in the western part of Cuba where the world best
tobacco is grown. Visit to a local cigar factory plus tour around
the valley visiting the Prehistoric Mural Painting and the Cueva del
Indio (optional - take a boat ride along the underground river to
see the inside of the cave). Lunch at Palenque de los Cimarrones
restaurant. After lunch visit La Casa del Vaguero (Tobacco Farmer's
House) and learn about growing and processing of the tobacco. Return
to Havana. Dinner at the hotel. Evening free.
Day 03: Havana - Guama
-Trinidad
Breakfast. Depart for Trinidad, stopping at Guama an
area in the Montemar Park, the largest park in Cuba to visit the
crocodile-breeding farm and take a boat ride across the Treasure
Lagoon to the Taino Village, where there are 32 life-size sculptures
replicating the daily life of the natives in Cuba before the arrival
of the Spaniards. Lunch at La Boca Restaurant. After lunch continue
the tour to Trinidad one of the first villages founded at the
beginning of the 16th century by the Spaniards. On arrival in
Trinidad check-in at a selected hotel. Dinner. Evening free.
Day 04: Trinidad
Breakfast.
Sightseeing tour of one of the first townships founded by the
Spaniards in the early 16th Century, declared by UNESCO a world
Heritage Cultural Site. Visit the hold historical area with its
coble stones streets, Main Square surrounded by colonial buildings
and its museums. Lunch at Santa Ana restaurant. Leisure time. Return
to the hotel. Dinner. Evening free.
Day 05: Trinidad -
Camaguey
Breakfast. Depart for Camaguey a town characterized by
squares and baroque churches. Visit the square and the church of San
Juan De Dios. Lunch at Rio Azul Restaurant. Accommodation and dinner
at the selected hotel. Evening free.
Day 06: Camaguey - Santiago de
Cuba
Breakfast. Drive to Santiago. En-route visit the city of
Bayamo the second oldest city in Cuba founded in 1513 by Diego
Valzquez de Cuellar. Lunch at El Royalton. Continue the journey to
Santiago de Cuba. Accommodation and dinner at the selected hotel.
Evening free.
Day 07: Santiago de Cuba
Breakfast.
Sightseeing tour of the historical center of Santiago. Visit the
Moncada Garrison, Diego Velzquez Museum, El Morro Fortress, and the
Pirate Museum. Lunch at Pavo Restaurant. In the afternoon visit the
Sanctuary of La Virgen de Caridad del Cobre, the patron saint of
Cuba, located in a village named after her. Return to the hotel.
Dinner. Evening at leisure.
Day 08: Santiago de Cuba
-Havana
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for the domestic
flight to Havana. On arrival transfer to the selected hotel. Evening
at Leisure to explore Havana
Day 09: Havana
Breakfast. Why not
extend your stay few extra days or transfer to the airport for the
departure flight to your home country. |
